O.K.....I had a budget put away, I spent it. Basically I did everything I set out to do with my truck....Now, I can't decide what else to do with it.... :glare: ..I am not going to take it off road....(I know, but thats what I built it for) So the engine can stay for now...gas mileage is great! I don't know if more chrome would make it look to cluttered or too much? I was thinking of a push bar with a couple lights on it......maybe a bug shield and some of those wide aerovisor window shields.......I'm open if anyone has any ideas of what may or may not look good.......Or if anyone knows where to get replacement headlight assemblies inexpensively....all that I look at cost a fortune!.........Thanks........

We can make this your "Ultimate Bronco" thread if you like, and I can move it to the 80-96 forum where you'll get more replies.

I think clear corners and new hdlt assly's , along with a chrome tube grille look awesome on the 87-91 Broncos. I've seen them selling on ebay, or keep an eye on the classified forum. JSM84

That would be cool.....I don't have unlimited spending resources or anything....I just would like some ideas to continue with....I am like a writer with writers block. It is like getting like getting a big screen t.v. It looks great for a while, then you get used to it and it is nothing special...... I don't want it to look like one of those retired people pickups with 50 chrome horns and 20 antennas though :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Have you re-geared the axles or added any traction aides? THat can eat up a chunk of change real quick!!! IF you haven't, might be worthwhile in the future with those oversize tires. IT would help your gas mileage, too. Do you have any pics of the undercarriage? Just curious if you restored the frame and suspension, or painted anything below deck. JSM84

I got to admit that the car I always wanted to build had that horn in the tv show....But since the movie and everyone started cookie cutting them out, I am no longer interested.......Yes, the undercarriage is painted black, There was no rust to speak of, so I didn't have to go that route......I haven't changed gears or anything with the drivetrain yet, with the stick it seems to have plenty of get up and go......I may start there. I don't think I want the dixie horn, but something different would be cool............ :)>-

after all that bodywork, I think it would be absolutely foolish to not put on a brushguard. That is unless there are no deer where you live. But for me, there are deer everywhere, and I don't car how ugly it looks, my truck will be deer-proof when I'm done with the bumper.

oh florida, disregard then, unless you have panther problems...

also, what about that exhaust? correct me if I'm wrong but pretty much any straight through muffler (only way to go) will sound the same, the size piping does make a diff though. (echo effect)

Believe it or not, we do have deer  /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> My Bos's husband totaled the front of his truck not long ago that way....You see them on the side of the road all the time at night......Brush guard and exhaust will be the next steps.....(bug shield as well) Thats what I'll do.........I do need to look into gears as well....
