Sloppy Shifter. 5 spd

Has anyone refreshed their 5 spd shifter. My 1991 custom 302 the shifter seems really sloppy & I saw a kit from LMC to replace the bushings.

Has anyone refreshed their 5 spd shifter. My 1991 custom 302 the shifter seems really sloppy & I saw a kit from LMC to replace the bushings.

I don.t know about the 5 speed shifter,but I changed the nylon bushing in my top loader and put Mr Gasket steel one s in and it took all the slop out and the noise out of it.
