Just a shout out to all the members out there!
Not much action in the zone lately…just sayin.
Where is everybody?
I’d hate to see this site go off grid. Its one of the last places to safely ask a question without fear of shaming!
Hope everyone is doing well!
Cheers

I hear you L\Bronco,
Seems most of the traffic is the later model 1980-1990 Broncos. Personally, I follow 1978-1984 models. Carburetors are my thing and the modification of the year model Broncos I mentioned.
I too hope all are well!

Hey guys, its been a while since I said anything. I'm building a 331 stroker for my 95 EB. Machine shops are becoming few and far between here in Southern Colorado. Any way I have a question. I'm using aftermarket aluminum heads and 1.6 roller rockers. My question is does any one k now of nicer valve cover that will clear the rockers and fit under my Edelbrock EFI truck intake? Thanks

These are older Edelbrock ones, Im putting on my roller 5.0L thats going in my 69 mustang rag. (After I polish them of course.) They are 1/2-3/4” taller than the old tin ones. Not sure about clearance on your intake, but these are the shortest Ive found that clear the roller rockers.
Good luck with it.
Cheers

A bit concerned as well. The place seems empty at times. 🤷

Hey L-
I guess this is one of the photos that didn't post up elsewhere that you were talking about. Works here, so all good.
You know if that type of valve-cover would fit under the Oem EFI 'lay-over' plenum?
That plenum design sure fouled up my project (and no doubt a few others) because of the clearance issue on that side.
I've never been a fan of the way that particular piece of engineering was laid out. It may equal-out the airflow but is too confining and too heavy.
The lightning engine setup seems to have addressed that issue, but that stuff doesn't grow on trees & carries a 💰💰💰premium.....When it can be found.

I got lucky when I found mine. I had it stored for 20 yrs when I found Frankie!

Not sure about the covers, when we get home, I try to remember to get you a height on them.
Cheers

I think AI has pretty much killed these forums except for some hold outs.

When someone googles a question, AI pull the answer from the forums and displays it.

So a person never has to come here and interact with people. No need for them to register, no need for them to contribute or ask questions.

It is too bad because these forums and these people have provided all the information that AI is using.

I think people just stays home--because of of some stupid laws passed and jobs were closed down. No where to go and they stay at home. I myself liked the people hear and helped one another

Everything is so high--people just stay at home. The news is so depressing, but as Walter Cronkrit would say--that,s the way it is.

So why don,t we do something about it---we can still communicate and talk about our problems with our bronco,s and what we did to them and ask questions about them. Yesterday I bought a new battery for mine. I HOPE I GET IT ON THE ROAD THE FIRST

i live in West Virginia and this time of year---since I don,t have a garage--I,ll be inside working on guns. I like restoring them. I also start buying parts for my vehicles and when pretty weather starts back in the spring. I ,ll have parts to tinker outside.

Hope you guys are doing well. I'm still working on my Broncos. Unfortunately my job takes up a lot of my time but it also pays for the Broncos. lol I have been putting in a gas heater in my shop so I can work when its cold and it gets cold here in Colorado. I hope every one has a great Thanksgiving. I will try and get some pics up on my 91 XLT and 95 EB as they progress.

Hope you guys up north are keeping warm. More great weather here in south Florida. Just finished putting ball joints, new spindles, and a ps hose in my 96. Needed one new hub and two wheel bearings as well. 266,000 miles, all original and still going strong!

Am headed down 'rear pinion bearing replacement alley' fairly quick. Assembling mission resources, almost there. Really didn't expect this, but previous (mis)management strikes again. 🤞

-28F here overnight on the weekend! Warm and balmy in my shop with my radiant heat on (fake sun!)
I love the 96 trucks! (Slightly less than my 79) keep her going!
Headed to Phoenix this week for race car stuff, it will be a nice break from the deep freeze.
Cheers!
