Pushing 80F here in Fort Mohave, AZ.
Rebuilding my 82 AT Tilt Column. Fun times! The sliding rack assembly on these was a bad design. After a few years you need two hands to turn the key with no return once the engine cranks...
I have a Straight Column that I got from a wrecking yard. Just need to fix 'er up and stuff 'er in there next time. Already have the Tilt Column parts, so one more time for it.
Enjoy the races in Phoenix!

Where did you source the parts? My 79 has a broken tooth on the rack that holds the tilt column in position.
I havent looked hard yet, (kind of assumed nobody would carry any more

I love the 96 trucks! (Slightly less than my 79) keep her going!
Headed to Phoenix this week for race car stuff, it will be a nice break from the deep freeze.
Cheers!

Hope everything goes good for you all L/Bronco You might want to get some jars and grab some heat in Arizona and make sure its sealed really good. Then when you get back hope. Open it up and watch the snow melt. Hope everything goes good for all of you all. I have to bump my starter so it will fall back down in place on the bronco. Think I,ll tir a weight on it and hope it falls down. Can,nt get anyone hear to do anything. Always has a sorry excuse for not helping anyone. I,ll take a small potatoe sack and put some small rocks in it and tie it on top. That should work. Then fix a cable up to where i can move the distributor and be able to get it close to timing. I pity these people in Alaska that has no one to help them. Plus they,d have to keep a eye out for wolves or bears

type in STEERING COLUMN SERVICE and go to the one in California. They have alot of parts and will send the parts out quick. Also try GREEN SALES in Ohio----just type in Green sales in your address bar. Watch their videos to and thy have people answering the phones. They have new and old stock and are good people to deal with. They might also have your horn button at a reasonable price. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone .

Your welcome L/Bronco.. I saw one of those horn buttons you were looking for,but I don,t think you would pay $130 FOR IT. IV know I wouldn,t. I ,m still having trouble try to start the bronco. I checked the timing yesterday and got it in and today I tried to start it--with no good luck.

Its 4:20 am (Monday morning) I am hoping I get mine started today. I noticed yesterday the electric choke wire came off. I have had some vehicles that would not run without the choke hooked up and some would. So just maybe this motor is like that and I,ll hook it up. Glad you are doing good. I guess your like me--always going back for check ups. Been seeing some really nice bucks in the yard.

I have a manual choke on my Edelbrock carb and if I don’t pull the choke cable almost all the way out the engine won’t start when cold.
I push it back in quickly after it starts and modulate with the pedal to warm it up a little.
In the desert here this works fine. In cold weather I would want an electric choke.

I checked for hot wire for the choke today and didn,t find and so if I have to. I,ll run a temporary wire from the battery. I did put some gas down the carb and truied it and got it to bach fire---telling me the plugs are firing. I,m sure
