Fired it up this morning, I've been building my '89 since 2013. It's got an electrical issue, needs new rear end, (possibly front). And a **** ton of body work.
Your lucky. I been at one of mine off and on since about 2006 and FINALLY getting ready to drive it.

Nothing yet. I haven,t made it out to their yet. I have the gas line to hook up and radio. Clean some parts and tools out of it . Get some gas in it and re-new the tags. Then HOPEFULLY drive it. FINALLY got all the lights working on it. I quite trying to get the back up lights working with the original wiring. So I just ran a wire from the lights to the switch on the side of the transmission and a hot wire from the I-SWITCH the the reverse switch and solved the problem . All that work to please my friend--after a few cuss words of course. HAHA If you,ve ever been around a couple of combat veterans--one church goer and the other one isn,t--you,ll know. haha Have a great and safe day folks.

I drove mine. Always fun since it is usually in the garage except for vacations anymore.

recently recalibrated the shift firmness. Love the new holes in the separator place. 1-2 still a little firm. 2-3 and 3-4 smooth but quick.
adjusting shift firmness is a crap shoot if anyone has ever done it but well worth the effort.

Also had a mickey thompson wheel crack and leak air right after vacation. Apparently it is common. Welded it up, appears to be holding.

Where I am at most OBS trucks are rust buckets, always get lots of looks when we are out and about.

Parked right next to a brand new Bronco at Texas roadhouse last night. I should have taken pics. It was all black, 4 door, with top off. Sharp looking, but still looked small next to mine. Owner was sitting on the bench in front of it. Talked to him for a bit. They are nice. I will admit that. He absolutely loves it. It is his first bronco.
he is a 4 door jeep convert. He said it is live going from a chevette to a Cadillac. I told him I am on like my 10th bronco so I am used to driving cadillacs. LOL
Well they do ride smooth. I was thinking about going to maybe 3.08 gears .To help on the gas.

Acquired a OEM tire jack to fill that particular void under the hood, the fuse panel clips & owners manual showed up today so all that was put where it goes and actually got some glue to hold the rearview mirror chock to the glass. Slow but steady progress.

Took my ‘96 EB Bronco on a railroad track inspection trip. Still works great but will be selling this year.

The uphill struggle continues, with valve cover gaskets.
It's been many years since I ran across a 'Quaker-state' motor. Maybe this thing had the oil changed once after it left the factory?🤷 <g> 😑
Cleaning out the sludge was epic.
Rislone will do the rest.
Now, to proceed or do the de-smog.....that is the question.

Did an engine swap last year, and in the midst of taking the hood off I had propped up with one bolt in, I went to go get help to take the hood off, and it slid right off snapping the bolt in the process, turns out who ever put the hood scoop on it used about 50lbs worth of bondo.
Sounds like the luck I been having with my 78.. I think everything was either wore out or beat out of it. I been at it about 15-20 years.
