YUCK...GAS!

Hey guys new to the forums here. Long story short i found me an 89 bronco with the 351 in it and i can get it for a steal i know. just one problem im not sure about though. Truck runs fine and shifts fine but after driving it down the road you smell like gas when u get outta the cab. Im curious as to where this possible LEAK could be at or whether or not the truck is running too rich, or possibly cracked fuel pump or something. Any advice would be appreciated thanks guys.

sounds like a leaky fuel line going to the injectors or a bad injector o-ring, look for fuel around the injectors

It could be just about anyplace from the tank forward. You need to let it idle and check the entire system from front to back. I doubt it is from running too rich, if you are running too rich you may see that as a lot of carbon build up in the tail pipe. You can also check the plugs to see what color the tips are, if it is running rich, the tips will be black.

After idling for a few minutes it starts missing and the drivers side closest to the firewall spark plug has black junk on it....possible cracked injector perhaps im guessing?

is the plug wet?are any of the plugs wet?

just that one im talking about....kinda damp and has the black trash around it...im guessing injecters guys not sure
