Window Motors????

Wanting to know who has replaced all of there window motors and how much did i coast you. The other day i rolled the passenger side window down and the motor went out on me. The back window motor has never worked right since my dad bought it so i think it's time for them to be replaced.

Alot of times its a bad switch or a bad connection the motors are pretty durable . /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

have seen anywhere from 40 to 80 a piece and at one time or another have had to replace them all

I SENT THIS RESPONSE TO ANOTHER GUY A FEW WEEKS AGO..........CHECK INSIDE YOUR DOOR WHERE THE GEARS ARE FOR THE WINDOW ASSEMBLY. THE DOOR WAS SLAMMED ONE DAY ON MY 89 WITH THE WINDOW DOWN, AND THE GEARS SLIPPED BESIDE ONE ANOTHER. A LITTLE BIT OF CAREFULCOAXING WITH A PRY BAR, AND SHE WAS ALL FIXED UP.

I just replaced the passenger side about 6 months ago worked fine for a couple of weeks and until last weekend they worked when they wanted to. come to find out when I lined up the gears initially, when the window was in the all the wayown position, the gears slipped out. So I adjusted it and it works fine. I still have the stock motor in the driver's side and I have an 83. The back on you are on your own. it's more work than the other besides for drilling the rivets out of the doors. $40 -$80 a piece sounds about right too.

but you can save yourself some money on the rear window motor and just buy the passenger door motor as the only difference is the power lead is shorter on the side door
