I think I've been snookered! I've bought two Champion winches in two days and neither of them will work. I hook them up and all I get is the "click - click - click" of the solenoid. Is it the winch? Do I not have a strong enough battery?

Any thoughts on the subject?

The only two things that come to mind for me is, is it wired properly? and not enough juice as you stated. does the owners manual have a trouble shooting section or an 800# for tech support?? Not trying to be smart, just thinking it should have one or the other.

it might be a bad selinoid or , it kinda sounds like its lacking amps to get it started, mine does it when its not engaged though and i just turn it from nutreal to engaged but that on my WARN... but i did have a selinoid go bad on my old one and it just clicked... try a thicker lead and see what happends and turn your bronco on and watch the battery AMPS and see if thats what it is.. goodluck

Thanks all for your replies. I've bought two of these in two days and had the same problem. Perhaps my battery just isn't big enough. I'll get a new one and go from there.

Thanks for all of the input.

BTW, I called tech and they told me it was the battery. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
