No the clevaland is not an oddball at all as far as mounting . The mounting points on a 351C are in EXACTLY the same physical locations as a 289/302/351W . There are ABSOLUTELY without a doubt no changes in the motor mount location or the bellhousing mount or location . In fact the only thing that will hold up a cleveland motor from dropping right in where a 289/302/351W was is the size of the exhaust and a company called Sanderson headers has pretty much taken care of that . The heads are the same size and shape as that used on the infamous 302BOSS , The ignition system is shared with the 351M/400/429/460 , The heads are also shared with the 351M/400 , The block is special to the 351C along with the intake manifold . The exhaust is the same as the 302BOSS/351M/400 . The crank is special to the 351C due to the smaller diameter mains . The pistons are special to the 351C due to I belive deck height . Cam is shared by 351M/400 . Oil pan is shared with the 351M/400 Valve covers are shared with the 302BOSS/351M/400 , I have had quite a few of these they have all been good motors , I have one right now Im putting into a 2002 ranger its a sqeeze but it will fit .
