you can get free catalogs and most of the time they have a part that has tires. i have heard good things about thorn birds and sumpers i dont know who makes them but thorn birds are about 100 up and super swampers are about 200 up

i used to have some tsl thornburds if thats what you guys are talkin about and they were pretty good and honeslty they where only 30 inches...lol it was my first bronco and in the mudd holes i couldnt get it stuck but they sounded like a frieght train going down the road and killed my gas milage and the ride was rought and my girl wouldnt ride in it after a while but hey the scrfices we make for bad a$$ broncos thats why i resulted in the 35 in procomp allterrieans but the look ***** compared to some boggers ... i like my 36 tsl sx's but they **** MY GAS . i have seen some boggers in action and no doubt they hold no prisoners in the mud but has ne one else seen the pit bull line i want to see if there is ne one that has see them in action...

For mudding the super swamper bogger is the hands down king of the hill, I have sacrificed 5 axles, 1 front driveshaft and numerous u-joint to a set of 44" boggers. I had to go to a one ton driveline on my 79 to withstand these bad boys, the only time I ever heard my 460 start to bog down and beg was when I went wheeling in some heavy clay during a very wet spring, it was a religious experience. When you do manage to get stuck... oh my god the horror, the horror. I dont spend much play time on the rocks but the boogers seem to do very well aired down and beadlocked with my limited exposure.

Be careful going with the wider 33 or 35s, the lugs on these tires are seriously think enough to bend metal/tear $hit right out, not to mention losing turning radius. Make sure you have the correct back spacing, lift etc., if you do any kind of regular on road driving these are not the tires you want. They are bias ply, will get flat spots sitting during cold periods, weigh 16 Tons each (and thats the 31's) and will rattle your fillings out on pavement, but they are the holy grail of mud tires. Cutting out the short lugs will make them even better in the mud, these tires will dig like youve never seen, I'm willing to bet a 35" could easily break up a 1/2 ton drive line if they catch something under the mud (I lost a rear axle once to someones drive shaft wedged down in a mud bog). My front drive shaft crumpled and twisted like the rubber band on a toy airplane in the heavy clay w/44's. Man I miss my 79, so many good memories.

i really like the mickey thompson baja claw. they do very well in rocks or mud. for mud only, the boggers rule, but from my experience, the claw will last longer if you drive it on the road and has better highway manners even with the bias ply.
