What is the Orignal Color of the motors in the 87-91 yrs??

I have an 88 Bronco with a 5.0 trying to figure out if it's the orignal motor.

What was the orgianl color or block serial numbers from the 87-91 yrs. As well as

what year did Ford start putting roller motors in trucks??

In those yrs most were primer grey and it was a poor primer and that is why you see so many with the oil pan rotted out . 1987 would be about right for a roller 5.0 in the trucks 1986 was first yr in the cars that I know of . the date codes you should see on parts there and on the block will look something like this E27B-8C020-AAX . It all started for ford in 1940 so that ofcoarse is the A them 1950 is B and 1960 is C and so on so that part number is a grill emblem I have here on my desk and it is from a 1982 model yr truck or something it actually looks kinda snall for the truck emblem but you get the point your yr range youll be looking for is E7 through F1 . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
