Well a guy cam e and looked at her yesterday and called me last night with an offer. We talked about all of her problems and he made an offer. I scoffed at first and then realized it was the best I was gonna get. I sure didn't want to see her go to a junk yard. The guy rebuilds Early Broncos and wanted a late model for his nephew to teach him how to work on a vehicle. I sure am glad she is going to a good home. Concerned I am getting screwed, but he is bringing me cash on Saturday and I will then be an ex-Bronco owner. @-) :((

It's ok though. I am going to neck up the Explorer with a bull bar on the front, safari rack on the roof with spare tire mount and see if I can't find some of those retractable side steps so when they are up it at least looks like it has some ground clearance. Might even see if I can find some of that diamond plate tape and try to conform it to all that plastic crap on the side. There has got to be a way to tale the Explorer from Family truckster to Family mudster. I will find a way as God is my witness. [-o<

Anyway. I thank you all for the help and the laughs and will be checking on you periodically to make sure everyone is still livin' my dream. :)>-

As soon as I hung up the phone I got on ebay and found a 94 Bronco in Westchester, VA with 67K miles that is currently at $860. I wonder if she would notice :-"

The," It followed me home" ploy already worked once hence the name beausdad. Unfortunately she is smarter than me so she would figure out what I was doing. As far as a friends house, all of my friends would try to hotwire it so they could take it wheelin and I would show up one day and they would say," I don't know what happened. I think someone stole it and took it muddin' I know exactly where they left it though, it's in a mudhole that was awesome - oops um - I mean it looks like the theif stuck it in an awesome hole." My friends are sneaky like that.

I was thinking that I may just take the money and start a, " Bronco for Eli " Fund. Eli is my son. Or go to a mudhole near my house with a 12 pack and a can of gas and just wait for a Bronco to show up. "If you drink it they will come."

Find a mudhole, maybe we all can get together, 100 or so Broncos would be sweet. We can all form a line and you sit on the edge of the mudpit. And we will all take turns running through the mud fullspeed. Then you can walk home all muddy, crying. "I need a Bronco" Sound like a plan?

I like Yardapes idea... hahaha...

I think having a "lets get this poor fella another Bronco" charity is a good idea though. With all of us being so spread out, I think it would be kinda hard for everyone to attend though.

There is a mud ****** crew somewhere over there in NC though. I found them on myspace...They're in Jacksonville NC. If that's close to you, maybe you could hook up with them and bring some beer. They seem like a pretty good group of younger good ole boys. www.pitangoffroad.com

I like Yarape's idea too. When we use to go on mudruns back in the day, the guy who forgot to bring his own beer had to ride in the back of the truck in a patio chair. I always found the deepest mudhole I could find and usually hit it doing about 45mph. That guy never forgot to bring beer again. :))

I would love to see a herd of Broncos. I think I would cry. Definitely like the charity idea. You know you could throw me a baby shower since I am a new father. I am registered at Jeff's Bronco Graveyard. :-"

I'll tell ya. We used to do all kinds of stuff to get extra money. Usually just amounted to gas money to wheel, but it still didnt come out of our pockets.

Out by the farm there is an Exxon station. All the local young rednecks go there and hang out on the weekends since there ain't nothing else to do. We'd go down there and tell them they could come and wheel in our pasture for 10bux each. That was always a hit, by nites end we'd each have about 50-60bux.

I'm honestly trying to come up with some good ways to get you in another Bronco. I seriously thought I had yours sold when you first mentioned it here. My best friend and I were going to come out and get it. But his uppity wife said she didnt want him to have a 4wd because then he's be spending time doing things he wanted to do and not things she wanted him to do. That sucked. She did let him buy a boat though. So in a couple of weeks, we are going to be hauling in bass from Caddo Lake.

Anyway, I havent forgot about ya over there with no Bronco.
