I haven't been wheelin' in awhile, but goig down the road today I heard a clunk. So I topped at a friends house to take a look, and apparently, something broke. I can't figure out the name to buy a new one though. It's what hangs under the body and connects to the front axle. It's a bar. The bar is connected to the mount that hangs from the body by a plug/bolt or something. That part fell out completely. I think it cracked in half. How would this happen? What part am I looking for?

you didn't hit anything a while back and crack it? It might have just finally come loose. It might have been broke a while back. I couldn't name it unless I saw it and even then, cracked in half I might not be able too. Is ther one just like it on the other side?

It sounds like what you described is a radius arm. If so, you definately don't want to drive it until you get it fixed.

I do believe it is aradius arm. When we looked at the cracked part, you can tell its been cracking for awhile and just now gave out. We put a come long in it to hold it and drove it home. It was risky, but anyone know how much a radius arm will cost me?

Radius arm, yes......

It's prob. the bushing that went south. It will make a lot of "bumping"/clunking sounds. You can drive it but there will be movement of the front suspension 'til fixed.

Might need them all changed out on both sides

Oh, and I found some radius arms for $125 for 2 on ebay but I don't know if they will fit mine. I don't know how much lift it has on it, the guy says it's 6" but another guy said it wasn't 6", possibly 4. So I don't know if these will fit? They are for stock Bronco.

well if there the stock ones to need to replace them with stock ones. you can't put the ones made for the lift kits on there unless you lift the whole truck ....

I think is the stock one, but also sems like the one that broke down is the bracket no the arm, look at the chassis and if you see a shell looking thing broken , you want to change that one, not he raidus arm.on the other hand if the end of the radius arm is off, no thread whatsoever in it , you have to replace the arm, hard to say from the pics,

after looking back at the pics and re-reading his original post sounds like he pulled the stud that is welded into the end of the arm off all it is is a stud with steel wraped around it and welded if thats the case go to a weling shop have it cleaned up and a new "stud" welded and while your at get your arms boxed and you wont need to deel with them again except for bushings
