turn signal-column wiring

i recently installed a colmun from a 69 bronco into my 71 bronco sport. the 71 wiring has one plug with 8 wires. the 69 colmn has 2 plugs. one contains 6 wires and a small plug has 2 wires. can anyone tell me what the changes were and if i just match up the coloring of the wires will this work?

Check out bronco.com they have some diagrams that will help out colors, connections ect. I think the 2 seperate are for rear turn signals but can't remember. The colors should be real close if not the same between the those years.
