I have an 1982 Bronco and the transmisson is starting to slip. When I start off in the mornings,it takes a little bit for it to kick into gear.During the day when I'm driving around,it won't go into gear when I take a corner.Any ideas on what my trouble is?

It would help to list what model transmission you have, i.e., C-6 3-speed auto. You may try replacing the filter, and check the vacuum modulator is working. IF you find any metal inside the pan when you remove it, or the fluid is dark with a burnt odor, you may need an overhaul. I would take it to a shop for the work, unless you know what you're doing when re-bulding an automatic tranny. Good luck, JSM84

Thanks for the suggestions. The trans is a C-6 connected to a 351-W.It just started acting up about a month ago.It is also an automatic trans. Thanks again for the suggestions,I'll give them a try.
