transmission mount

i'm in the middle of replacing my tranny in my 86 Bronco. The trouble i'm having is finding the right mount for the darn thing. i've gone to every single local parts store in my town and nobody has one. I thought i found one @ O'rielys but it was about 1/4" to short. i have an AOD tranny and it seems impossible to find parts around here. By the way here is Dallas/Ft. worth, Texas area. My question is, other than the correct mount, is there any other mount that will work? The two that i have are damn near blown out.

I don't think you'll find the single tranny mount at any of the local parts stores. Take a look at online vendor's like Bronco graveyard, Natl Parts Depot or AutoKrafters. The only one they sell is the single mount for the AOD, and there is a difference depending on the engine cid. Good luck, JSM84

Just replaced my tranny mount two weeks ago. I'll try to find out where it came from for ya. Maybe they carry one for a 86?

thanks for the help. to answer the motor cid comment, it has a fuel injected 302.
