trans rebuild/swap

k so i have a 94 with the 5.8 and 4eld....whatever, the big trans. it ran good for 160,000 miles..besides the 2 rear ends i went through. im about to lift it 6" and put it on 35's and im going to have to replace the trans thats in it now. its going to be expensive no way around it, the trans is around $1,300. i can do the labor but not alone and id have to pay a shop i know to use here shop. now that will take about 200-250 for the help and shop/tools. so i want to be done with this headache and lift my baby. i figure if im going through all this i should build it up a little, and make it a little stronger. ???what can i do to build up a stock trans other that a bigger tans pan???

Try searching the forums or tech articles for upgrade on the E4OD, even Ford made some changes in 95 and up. You can also look for a shift kit and auxillary cooler. Another option is to swap to the C-6. You'll lose OD (overdrive), but I think it's a stronger unit. Good luck, JSM84
