Tranny Swap

I currently own a 1988 Bronco w/ 302 5.0L and a AOD Trans. I was thinking of swapping my AOD for a manual trans, but am not sure which trans to pick or even how hard the conversion would be and the availibility of parts. ANy comments and advice WILL HELP!!!!

THe conversion will be difficult. You have to add a clutch pedal, shifter and linkage for the manual. Best bet is to find a manual-tranny donor truck with all of the parts you need. A T-18 or NP435 are the best manual choices, or think about staying with an automatic and swapping in a C-6. No overdrive, though.
