100_0380.jpgI have a 9 inch suspension and a 3 inch body lift,The truck was on 44s for about 10 years before Jerseys new lift laws,Anyway my tires only would just touch the front bottom of the wheel well on the front fenders only when I had the wheels completly turned and backing up,,,Just nipping them,no damage or anything.Besides that I had no other issues. This picture is currently with the 40 inch ground hawgs though..

Well right now i'm in Iraq, I just bought a 79 ford bronco that i'm going to be putting all the parts from my 78 on it. The 78s body and frame is done for but i picked up a really good 79 for 4000 so i can't wait to test it out and get it lifted up. and yes i'm running stock axles i only geared them when i get back to the states and get my house with a garage i will be swapping parts then i will see were i need to be.

Im not sure if it will help you, but my buddy is running a 73 chevy single cab shortbed with a 12 inch suspension and a 3 inch body. Im not a big fan of trimming body panels, and his truck has stock fenderwells. It looks right and he has about as much suspension travel as I would go for in a truck that big unless you want to end up on your side. Thats just my two cents.

Sorry, forgot to add that hes running 44x19.5(?) boggers. Plenty of room under his pickup for the tires.
