I bought the net for mine, I took the tailgate off once. We had some rainy weather so it had to go back on, that tailgate will NEVER be removed again, that is a pain in the a$$. I was outside in the rain with my tailgate hanging from my cherry picker. You really find out who your friends are in that scenario. It was cool but not worth the work, I thought taking off the roof and putting it back on was a pain in the butt.

Yeah, I guess that would be a way to find out who your friends are. I have gone out in bad weather more than once to get a friends car going but I don't recall anyone ever coming after me. So how much does a tailgate with all its guts weigh? It can't be very light.

A lot. I'm 6'4" 305 pounds and I can lift a lot. I can't lift a tailgate into position. My guess is 300 pounds. But very awkward to lift.
