What im about to describe its been all my time and effort to get this truck all squared away.
Bought the bronco for $1800 (88 edie bower 5.8 L) body was inmaculate till a pos dude dented my door. but that another story.
here is what i have done to it and how much i paid for it:
1. changed oil pump (had a shop do it, i dont have the space for that kind of work at home).....$35.00 for pump $450.00 for labor :angry:/>/>
2. put a 4" suspention lift(rough country)..$689.00 (another $400.00 labor)
3. bought long tube headers..$189.00 advance auto...$120.00 Labor
4. bought two ****** mufflers $80.00
5. bought the piping from sumitt beacause i wanted the exits to be in front of wheels, but i got the wrong kit
(/>/> so i told the guy to make wonders and walked away... he did but it cost me another $160.00 to do that and instal my mufflers.
6. had to change the steering column, shaft, and gear box..$200.00 for the column, $40.00 for the shaft, and $145.00 for the gear box.
i did the job myself on this.
7. i had to replace a TB gasket TPS, and the IACV, $4.00 for gasket, $35.00 for TPS and $66.35 for the IACV
8. replaced tune up stuff like:
1. air filter K&N $39.99
2. fuel filter motorcraft $8.99
3. spark plugs motorcraft $16.00 ish
4. spark plug wires $37.00
5. ACCEL rotor and cap $22.00
7. crank case breather filter $4.00
8. PCV Valve $2.89
9. Oil 20w50 fran oil filter lucas stabilizing, and motor honey $35.00 altogether
10. alternator $90.00
9. 5X 33/12.50/15 BF Goodrich all terrain, US Steel black rock crawlers mounted balanced and shipped $1,428.00
10. driver side vent window $227.00
and i thing thats it. total was $4,524.22 and thats not including the price of the truck. :wacko:/>
