i just put a new tranny in my 88 fs bronco, its a c6 w/o o/d i got everything installed fine starts fine and when put in reverse is fine but when i drop it into drive it makes a weird noise and its in 4-lo my shifter is in 2h as well as my dash states its in 2h but it aint, anyway ideas how to fix this or anything?

I'm not real clear, but in the manual it discusses the trasfer case being stuck
