Can anyone tell me what big block ford has square port heads? I have a fellow car guy that has a sheet metal intake for a square port? If I can find out what it goes to then he can properly list it for sale. He happens to be a cheby guy... thanks to all!

If it's sheet-metal & a square port chances are it's an FE intake. I know for sure that none of the 385-series engines (429/460) ever came w/square ports, not even the Cobra Jet & Super Cobra Jet. I can believe a sheet metal intake for an FE because there are so few parts out there for them these days, if you want something high-end you pretty much need to build it yourself. Now I know some of the new 4.6L stuff is square port but you'd think something like that would be distinctive :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> Although, if somebody out there wanted to carb one of the modular engines you'd need to fab your own intake (I doubt that's what this is but thought it worth mentioning). What's the history of the part ? How did he come to have it ? Is it from a pile of old parts & he just can't remember which engine it was off or did it just come to him & has has no info ? Speaking only for myself I'm pretty sure that if *I* built an engine needing a sheet-metal intake I'd remember it <grin> I'd say it's gotta be something off either a small-block or an FE (and I'd lean strongly towards the FE)
