I put new and longer shocks on my 94 bronco...how tight should the top nut be on the shocks? I tightened it till the spacers were compressed. Is that enought to have a good secure hold on the shocks?
The bushings (spacers) should be compressed until they are about the same diameter or just a tiny bit larger that the washer. A very crappy design IMO. You no doubt have figured out by now what a PITA it is to hold the stud and turn the nut.
