Shattered slip yolk?

:wacko: Upon landing from the 5 foot straight up cliff (going up all four in the air) my front slip-yolk discombobulated! I have heard of other people using a Dana 50 slip yolk assembly as an upgrade because they are supposedly made of forged steel as apposed to cast. Does anyone have any specific info on this upgrade? Any help will be appreciated. Redbonejoe

Check the tech articles forum for the link to "Miesk5 Homepage". Cheapest replacement is a used D44 axle shaft from the salvage yard, the D50 ones seem harder to find. Our group of wheeler's go thru 3-5 per month, JSM84
