serpentine belt

all ready to get my engine together. will i be able to bypass the smog pump? it is not going back on unless absolutely necessary. and even then, it would just be for the pulley. so. can i bypass it? and if so, what size belt would i need? just to remind some of you. going from mpfi to carb. is there a belt that will fit?
