roof rack

I want to carry a kayak on my bronco, it is too long to stick in the back, has anyone mounted a roof rack on the hard top? The roof area over the driver is not a problem but I am concerned about drilling into the fiberglass top. Any ideas would be appreciated.

how bout a 25' ladder? u think that design would hold up?
