Can soneone tell me how difficult it is to remove the pins out of the door hinges, remove the door and repair the hnge? Am I forgetting something? The driver side is the only one with a little play. It seems like a new bushing will fix the problem. Let me know what ya'll think.

Yeah, replacing the hinge pins isn't all that bad. They are pressed in there so if you have the new thicker replacements you can see how they work. I had to really hammer hard (sledge) to get mine out. My buddy couldn't get his out so he drilled them out. What ever works as long as you don't over drill the new pin size. You want it to be tight. After my install the door had slight resistance due to the tight fit of the pin in the hinge knuckles. If you want removable doors this is a good time to cut off the top hinge knuckle so on both so you can lift off the door. Works pro!

The one thing to remember about when you remove your doors, you should mark where your hinges are because they wont go back in the same spot. I have always had an adjustment problem with mine because I didn't do it. The other thing you could do as far as having removable doors is put a quick pin in there. That way you can pull the pin and go.

Quick pin will work to but you have to align everything and then drop the pin. Cutting off the top knuckle still leaves the pin in place so you have something to help guide the door on. Once the door is closed its not going anywhere.

I've tried to mark my hinges but they always seem to need lots of work to align anyway. Best thing is to keep them on and used some sort of disconnectable hinhes.

Yeah, thats what I mean. Mark where they are before you take them off or you will have a helluva time getting things aligned again.

For door alignment problems, check out issue 17 of Bronco Driver. It help me get my doors back where they belonged after taking them off to run the Rubicon.
