Rear arm rest

I am trying to replace my rear panels (they're made of some paper stuff) with some aluminum sheet metal. I am stuck because I cant get my arm rest off, I was wondering if any one knows the bolt size because I have been trying and I just can't seem to get it. I know this isn't the normal interesting post but I am feeling like I should trade in the bronco for a short bus, if i can't even get an arm rest off.

If I remember correctly, they are held on by two Philips screws under the bottom side of the arm rest.

I wish mine are held on with two bolts and I can't get them because its at an angle, plus I keep loosing my sockets in the holes. If I could't get two screws out I would seriously have to give up. Thanks though

they are held on by two bolts at that funny angle but i cant remember the head style. I too thought they were phillips head screws. If not its going to be something small like a 1/4 head. I can take a look at mine tonight after work if you want me to.

I would appreciate it and any ideas on how to handle the small access hole and weird angle would help also.

they are held on by two bolts with 5/16 head. I had no problem getting a 1/4 drive 5/16 socket in. the hole is the correct size for this and it self centers.

Thanks for the help now I have to delete my profile and create a new name because that was extremely embarrassing. I don't know what was going on because I had been trying for a while

its alright man. i tried the ***** driver first, then a few sockets before i got the right one. And i've taken them off a few times before. If you tried to use a 3/8 drive socket it would never fit, needs to be a 1/4 drive or some sort of nut driver.

Ive thought about making different panels back there before. Have fun doing it
