question on camber sleeves

I had taken my truck in for an alignment about a month ago due to positive camber, seems that all they did was fix the toe in problem and I searched for a reputable front end shop to take a look at it.

I took it to them today and the guy shows me that the drivers side camber sleeve looks like the little notches are broken off the backside, actually almost all of the notches are gone but like 3

the passenger side seems fine, he said he will order some new ones and put them in, hopefully this will fix the positive camber as I dont want to burn the outer edges of my bfg muds

6" skyjacker lift, extended radius arms and steering stabilizer, do you think that a shop should be able to remove the camber and get the wheels standing straight or is some positive camber normal with a 6" lift on 33" tires

forgot to mention also has drop down brackets from skyjacker

The shop should have no problem finding the right camber bushings to get your alignment right, assuming they are familiar with the Bronco TTB frontend. I ran a Skyjacker 6" lift on the 84 Bronco for a few years with no problems, JSM84

I would ask them up front if they can align the Ford TTB. Many places cannot, esp if the younger staff is trained only on IFS. Look for an old geezer like myself, or an individual that has a shop. Not familiar with Alignments Plus. Oh yeah, don't let them tell you that you need all new balljoints, drag link ,tie rod ends ,muffler bearings, etc. JSM84

LOL... yeah, those muffler bearings should last for at least 23 years!

add this shop to another of the incompetent

they called this morning telling me that they cant align the truck because they cant get it into drive.

I have never had a problem, granted there is very little play in the column due to the big guy that used to pull himself up into the truck, it is a little loose the the tilt

so now I gotta drive down, somehow figure out how they screwed up my truck and take it out of the shop

im thinking that he decided that it was too much work and doesnt want to mess with TTB

he said he wont touch the camber until I put in a new steering column :wacko:

drove over to the shop and guy says he spent an hour trying to get it into gear, I put key in start it up put into reverse, then pull towards myself slightly and then go past neutral and into drive, just like it has always been

if a shop cant figure out how to work a column shift automatic, then noway in **** will I allow them near my front end
