plenum gasket ?????

sorry about posting this every where im just learning this whole posting questions thing . just wondering what a plenum gasket was, where to put it,how much,and can i do it by myself. i'v got a 1989 bronco xlt with a 351. thanks.

The plenum is that big silver-ish thing on top of the engine, take that off and put the gasket between the engine as gasket...

it also could be broken vacuum lines, throttle body gasket, or the iac sensor on the throttle body. any of thoes are easy fixes, the vacuum lines are hard to find though, they always crack. the iac can be expensive.
