First thing is to read alot before you ever turn he bottle on and whne you think you have it read it again just to be sure . If you cant find anyone to answer your question call the guys at NOS you can find there number on the holley website . With NOS there is no forgiveness you hit the button and start pumping NOS and gas in it will go like **** but lets say the fuel pressure drops off for a second and its not properly set up in that second you will have 8 chunks of aluminum that used to be pistons so unless you have alot of extra money laying around read alot :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I wouldn't do it with a Bronco engine unless you have plenty of money, it will significantly shorten the life of your engine. In spite of the macho stuff of having NOS, it shouldn't be just dropped in as some do, but then they usually find out the hard way. A NOS engine and drive train should be designed for it with parts selected in the build process with that in mind. Even then the engine life will be shortened by it's use. Like Blade262us said, you may find yourself setting there all embarrassed in a pile of junk.

Good luck on your decision,

:)>-

yeah man, leave the NOS for the quarter mile drag and street cars, bronco's are for low end torque and crushing shit, not race machines, if ANYTHING, lower the compression and supercharge it

I'm just trying to figure out why everyone wants to use nos whatever happened to just building a tough raw engine... but like all have said a bronco's have no use for nos.... how fast do want to drive it holysh@t man you'd have a hard time controlling the beast if your engine didn't let go first...

personally i blame the fast and the furious movies giving kids the idea that nos will fix anything and that honda rules. if i were you i would do like most people are saying and leave the nos for the quarter mile monsters, nos does not belong in a bronco. but thats just my 2 cents

Now Now we cant say that it doesn't belong in a truck you just don't get wild with it NOS is horsepower on demand and a 50 horse shot will not hurt a stock motor at all and if set up properly will not take away from the reliability at all . Here's an example you and buddies are at the local sand dunes lets say there's a special section that everyone drag races the big trucks in this is a good place for NOS there's nothing around to hit your racing anyway' so you and your buddies are racing to the marked off end there very close and you hit the button and pull away and beat them' all is good , Now here's what not to do your going down the express way with your NOS equipped bronco and little Honda rocket comes up and you decide the race is on you hit the button in a bunch of traffic lose control and **** a mom and kids on the way home from the grocery store with tonight's dinner , NOT COOL so if used responsibly it's all good but if like anything else you get stupid with it it will turn out bad sometimes in more ways than you can imagine . I do have NOS set up on my 91 but there is a time and a place for it . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

bottom line is dont's do it. :-B broncos are not made for that and those that are have 10s of thousands of dollars under the hood. You don't need NOS to romp! :glare:

I am new so I don't want to be a ****, but I agree with bugtrux. When I was twelve I helped my father build a 460 for his friends 78 bronco. This engine was a monster, didn't put it on a dyno but I bet it made about 450-475 ft. lbs. of torque and 350 hp. He got drunk one night and thought he was driving a race car, long story short he wrapped the hood clean around a tree and that was the end of a great truck. Trucks aren't race cars so ther is no need to try and make it one.
