I just got an 89 ford Bronco Eddiebower Edition... FOR FREE!

Rebuilt Motor, New Auto Tranny, Decent paint, Interior is clean, and it has brand new Weld rims and Bf goodrinch Off road meats I think 33" or 32"

ITs got a 3 inch body lift with lifted bumpers... Ect...

Heres the story...

It wouldnt start for some reason because of the ignition switch going bad. So my friend had to start it by jumping the Starter...

The Bonc was in Reverse on accedent and when he started it ... IT slamed into a stump.

It pushed the passenger side rear panel in on the bottom on each side of the tire, and THe tailight go smashed a little along with the top area were the mount for the tire goes....

He just said I can have it because he has a 94 and He has like 4 other trucks... Plus he makes a CRAP load of money.. so Giving it away didnt matter.

So my question is...

The truck isnt in that bad of shape. The Body shop said it would be more to fix it than What the trucks worth. Approx 3k

So.... Have you guys done some body work on these things? Is it hard to interchange a rear fender? Or does it have a fender??

I will post up pics asap!

THanks for this awesome site!

I now have one of my most favorite trucks! Ive wanted one since I was 13!

Thx!

If youre comfortable welding and doing paint you could do it, but 3k sounds WAY too high. I was quoted 3k for new fenders, rockers, quarters AND tailgate plus painting the entire truck. broncograveyard.com sells full quarter panels...

Welcome to Bronco Zone!!! They may be some more info in one of the links in the Tech articles forum on body panel repair/replacement. The rear "fenders" or quarter panels on the Bronco are spotwelded onto the body tub, so you either weld on new whole panels, or cut out the damaged area and weld on a "patch panel". Anothe alternative is to use one of the body sealers like 3M makes that are as strong or better than welds. You cn also take acutting wheel or Sawz-All and just cut off the areas to enlarge the wheel openings if you want to fit larger tires. You have lots of options. Vendors like Bronco Graveyard offr replacement fenders, panels, and other Bronco parts. JSM84

I figured it would ****! Isnt that how it always is! lol

I found this site that someone had as a link to do it... Here it is> http://www.supermotors.net/vehicles/registry/4970/19605

Looks like a 1-2 day job!

But I have a good buddy who took an autobody shop class and does Volkswagen Bodywork all the time.. so he said he would help me to get it done.
