Wow! when you said that your truck was going to be down until September, you weren't kidding! You certainly can't take her out to play like that, you'd probably get a ticket for driving without head lights or something :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Oh... yeah... it seems, the more you take apart, the more you see that should be replaced. I started my ball joints only to discover that I also need new brakes and calipers. It'd also be a good idea to replace the rubber brake lines too. Well ofcourse I could go all the way to the rear. Hmmm but why stop there? This truck has old fuel lines too! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

At some point one has to cut his losses, and just wait for stuff to break.

Hey... I've seen the mud you put that truck into. Cleaning it will take some time. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I'm glad to see the progress you are making. It'll be a monster of a machine when you are finished.

well some more updates...got the new crank in...come to find out federal mogul sent me a bad main bearing so i now need to go buy a new set of main bearings so i can finish assembling bottom end, got a new oil pump, new rings, ordering cam this week...as for the pictures i took the dash out took the glovebox out covered that portion of the dash with sheetmetal (like the way it looks much better) also removed heater controls and radio (will relocate radio and running mojave heater) so i put a piece of sheetmetal in there and relocated the ignition switch to tat area as you can see (i got bored the idea popped in my mind so i did it) dash is all painted ready to go in..also cut the one support out of tailgate (still strong) removed window, regulator, and motor and i am cutting 2 6 inch holes int he back and installing off-road lights in the tailgate to keep them from getting hit by trees. i have never seen it done in that fashion so i figured why not do it

Man I get so jealous looking at the pictures of these big shops with fork lifts and the likes you have to work with when I'm on my knees on the blacktop driveway.

Can I come over to play if it's ok with my Mom? LOL

Good luck to you with the rebuild. Can't wait to see it back together.

how about getting the kc highlighters with the plastic covers? That should work, depending on if you are mounting the lights flush against the tailgate or not. Also I see your from jersey, do you do any busy with Ok 4wd. I'm from northern New jersey and they were always good to get performance and other parts.
