Need tires recommendation

Rebuild still plugging along. I've pretty much maxed out the potential of my 1970 Bronco Sport's 302 which has me really stoked... and I'm going with a 2.5 to 3 inch lift. Keeping stock wheels for now (and probably for good) and my rear fender is going to stay uncut.

That said, I wanted to know how big I can go on my tires. Also, I was looking for tire brand and tread recommendations for this truck which will spend the majority of it's time on the road (so road noise a small issue), but can tear up trails on long weekends. I haven't been four wheeling down here in San DIego since moving here, but hear that the trails I'll be on are heavy on the sand! (Any trail recomendations from locals?)

Any thoughts from the team?

There were some earlier posts not to long back talking about tire size with uncut Broncos and lift size needed. Might look for those posts.

I would think 33x12.50 would fit with a 3.5" lift but I don't know for sure. You would like the BFG AT or MT, Good Year MT or ProComp AT or MT

On an un-cut truck with 3.5" of lift and rolled rear fender lips, 31 10.5 x 15 on 15x7 wheels will rub occasionally...

Thanks for the help so far, but I have a 2.5" suspension lift. Could add .5 - 1" of body lift fairly easily if required in order to accomodate better tires if I had to.

Also, I can't find that "older post" that addresses uncut broncos and tire sizes. I'll keep looking.

Any other help from you guys out there? What tires are you wearing on your rigs? What experience with sand? What road noise issues do you deal with (whether or not you care about road noise). :-B
