how do i tell if my fuel gauge is reading rite.

see if it reads empty when you run out of gas. I highly suggest you carry a full gas can with you before you try this though. walking sucks.

if it's not, you're looking at the sensor and the fuel pump. had that happen to me after running out of gas THREE times on the freeway!!!

You need to order a parts catalog from Jeff's Bronco graveyard. Pump and sending unit Cheaper there.
