I'm so pi$$ed I could **** something. haha, funny thing is that happened last thursday and I'm just now getting to write about it here, and I went deer hunting this past weekend and did **** something, (8pt buck and ruffed grouse by the way) but now that I'm thinking about it I am so mad again. I tilted the back forward a little so the seat would go farther forward and touch the windshield, but it flipped up kind of hard and spiderwebbed the top corner pretty bad. I need a new windshield, I can feel the cracks on the outside. Man and I just bought this truck and I just keep having to fix things. I don't mind replacing the hubs for example but this just sucks. I feel like I was b-(

AHHHH Yes the passenger side jump seat very dangerous . I had one that I was prepping for sandblast so I could powdercoat it and I had it sitting ontop of a 40 inch ground hawg and I accidentally hit the release . That damn thing sprung open so fast and hard and smacked me right in the mouth OMG talk about hurt like **** . One of those ILL never do that again moments . So yeah I understand completely how that could happen . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Sorry about your problem. I put a crack in mine when removing the outside trim. I got impatient and used a screwdriver to pry, there's no cure for stupid :-& . The next thing I heard was a little tick as I nicked the edge of the glass. One day later the crack started to grow. I finally stopped the crack by drilling a hole at the end of it thru one layer of class and then filling the hole with clear coat.

I guess I'd better fix that little cable that limits the forward swing of the passenger seat :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> .

Yeah upon further investigation I discovered that the limiting cable can be added to the list of not-stock features anymore.

I was kind of in a hurry and I was pushing the seat forward at the same time, but man...this puts the headers and exhaust farther into the future. actually I'll porbably just buy the headers and run the exhaust because I really need get it run to the back of the truck and I refuse to do it twice. Anything worth doing is worth doing right, right?

I tore a chunk of glass out from accidently (not paying attention) gluing it upside down and i figured it wouldnt be a big deal to pull it off and it took about a 1/2-1 of glass with it....OOPS

When my husband told me about this, I had to write and tell you. Here is a picture of what happens when a seat SLAMS into a windshield. Don't know what was worse, the breaking of the window or having to tell my husband that I broke it. (it's his truck)

i got a 79 for my bday last friday from my mom, on her way down from kamloops to vancouver island(for any BC'ers) to drop it off for me, she spun out twice, hit the center barrier and the passenger seat which always flys forward, did, and a new fender that was in the back smashed the windsheild, all that aside its still a damn sweet bday present

I still havent fixed the windshield yet, but after me wheeling/working vacation, it got real bad. The spider web expanded and then generated even more cracks. I will have to post a pic, you wouldn't believe how bad it looks.
