my bronco 2 wont go faster than 45 mph

i have a 2wd 89 ford bronco 2 with a 2.9l and a al4d tranny i just installed and the mother F##@3r wont go over 45 mph it sounds like my truck is being reaved dont know if its sliping or what but any suggestions other than telling my i put in a crap tranny would be nice!!!

i think i know what my dumb self did i forgot about the down shifting cable i never hooked it up i hooked up the vacuum advanced but not the down shit i will try to hook it up and see wat that does

THE BRONCO 2 GOES OVER 45 WHEN I HIT 35 MPH I JUST LET OFF THE GAS THE TRANNY IS NOT SHIFTING OR DOWNSHIFTING SO I THINK IT HAS TO DO WITH THE DOWNSHIFTING CABLE

the bronco 2 with the 2.9l engine with a4ld tranny blew and my other bronco 2 with the 5.0 was stolen

i just read this one..... i think after what mine did when i change the modulator valve that you should try and see if it fixes yours... its about a 13 dollar part and can be done without pulling the trany, not easy but i did it. (tight space)
