I am new to the rebuilding and admit i do not know as much as you guys. I recently spoke with a person at one of the bronco shops and was told a 289 engine would bolt into my 1966 bronco that had the inline 6cyl. Well, my frame has been blasted and powder coated. 289 motor mounts were purchased and mounted on the engine. When lowering onto the frame, the motor mount angle to the frame bracket are different and does not bolt up. Will it bolt up if i used the higher performance mounts that has the adjustable angle for the post to fit into the frame bracket? I hope not to have to cut the 6cyl. brackets off and replace with the aftermarket v8 brackets. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks, bucky66.
