I just picked up an ex-military 1988 bronco and was wondering if any one has more information on them. I think mine is most likely an air force issued bronco based on the color. It still has the U.S. Property sticker in the glove box. Any info would help.

I'd say 'less military & more gubmint" such as a car pool for the county, state, fed something like that. Then auctioned, privately held awhile B4 ur purchase...
C actual 'military' on the CB site. I think there's a forum on'em there...

Thank you for the info. I am still figuring out everything on it and trying to decide what all I want to do with it. I am not sure if I should restore it back to when it left the factory or make myself a nice clean mildly built bronco out of it.

I have an update on this bronco. It is Air Force. The Air Force got a few of them. They were as low of a trim level as you could get in the custom. No center console and instead of the normal front seats they came with the low back front seats from the 78-79 bronco.

Yo Carnutt73,
On a few bases our Marines had same low back seats so that they can swivel around and fire better than being in a high back seat.

Didn't know the marines had them as well. The low back seats now make a lot more sense with what you said. My sister who is retired air force just looked at it and said she was given one just like it to drive while she was still in and my brother who is retired navy said that the navy had some as well. I wonder why you don't see more of this era military bronco running around?
