low brake switch

:excl: I really just want to know what a low brake switch is and where i can find it in my 1983 ford bronco? also do i have to have it because whovever had the truck before had capped the wire that runs to it which is also coming from the starter switch and because of got and melted my connector. its really a mess and i dont know where to start and i need the truck before monday.

The 83 does not have such a switch. However, if you have a manual transmission, that connects to the clutch switch. It performs the same operation as the neutral safety switch on an automatic transmission. If you have an automatic transmission, it is jumped out.
