used the search options, but didn't find a whole lot helpful, just a lot of "that looks great" kind of replies. i am looking into a soft top for next spring, but i can't really decide on the style i like. i have found three different looks and it seems like each on offers its own benefits with a big difference in style. is any one of these better then the other? or is it all just a matter of style. i kinda like the full style since you can leave it up and still offer some proction. basically i am going ******* and need some sort of quick rain protection. nothing is worse then comming out to a wet seat.

p.s. i know this question must come up a lot...but humor the new guy

You could also cut up a hard top and basically make just a frame out of it and then replace the holes with canvas or clear vinyl. I personally like the one on the black truck, and I would make my own if i did it.

I saw the frame version of soft top on an 87 the other day, not really a fan myself. Personally, I'm getting the fastback style done on mine. Its great if you don't use your rear seats because theres no head room.

I'm buying the one on the black truck soon. I think it gives it a nicer look then the hard top style. Think about what you use your truck for and which one would fit your life style with the truck.. Good luck

I am looking at the same option. I love the look of the different soft tops that the Jeeps have.

Wouldn't it be great if the Bronco market offered the same variety of soft tops that the Jeep market does?

Maybe we could modify a Jeep soft top to fit a Bronco.

well mainly looking for something that, while my top is off during the spring and summer, i can quickly through on when it starts to rain. other then that she should remain *******. i am not terrified of theives in my area and besides....if they really want your **** neither a soft top nor hard top will do you any good. so i don't think my style really dictates the need for any certain one of these. just didn't know if there were any pro's on cons. like the back seat thing might come into play if you are out on the road with a couple of people and BAM instant storm after you add the rain water.

I really think it's a matter pf preference for your Bronco. I have both the Skyler and a Kayline/STC fastback style tops for my Broncos. THe material used is very sturdy, keeps water out of the Bronco, but is affected by temperature. I do like the Skyler top for fit and ease of install/removal. The hard part will be finding one, in either style. Bronco Graveyard has the STC tops for sale, for about $400. Bedore I bought the tops, I carried a $18 tarp that I'd throw over the back seat area if I ran into a rain shower with the top off. I learned from that experience to put an ice chest or other stuff under the tarp or the fastback tops, to keep from getting a swimming pool behind the rear seat when parked. JSM84

Thats nice, I was looking at that one, but with the rain in my area it wouldn't work well.

i want #3 the snap on style to the right there. for cargo area and removal to me it makes the most sense. and i think it looks the best. i like the rag top style but fear breakage and it takes up cargo area. i'm not a fan of the fastback- i can see it's advantages but it's not my style.

Theres a hardtop style at jeffs that is like a covertable and folds down by the tailgate so its always there for you. its defintly pricey though

i think the best one is the one on the black truck and it's seems like it would be pretty easy to snap on in a rush. When I get one it will be that style.

Jeffs?

I want to make it look like the old school military trucks with the framed soft top and the back all open, bench seats on the side. killer hunting truck. Or off road booze cruiser
