So I think I am ready to modify the ol Broncaroo...

I am not sure what lift/tire combo I want to go with....Will not be spending a whole lot on tires as I would like to spend a little more on some other things I have to buy... Looking at Maxxis Buckshots. Anyone have experience with these? I had Buckshot radials years ago on a F150 and was pleased. Don't know if the two tires are even related.....Tires are temporary anyway.

So Here is what I have narrowed it down to:

33's with no lift (least favorite idea as I am sure it will be TIGHT!)

33's with 4" lift

36's with 4" lift (Not sure how snug this will be)

What have ya'll had good luck with??Any of the above?

33's with no lift, you will have to do a bumper shave or space out to keep the tires from being eating by the inner bumper wall.

33's with 4 in lift, is what i have, works, still need a slight bumper mod

36's with 4 in going to be very tight, wouldn't prefer it, everyone says 35 w/ a 4in max, with a possible gear upgrade depending on how you like to drive it.

Im no pro, just some of what i have read, Best of luck

Heres a poor pic of mine, sorry cant find any of my others... this is 33' BFG Mud terrian on a 4'' lift, shaved bumper

hope i was some help

Nice looking truck! How far does that put your Rockers off the ground? Will my wife need a step ( I hope so, she looks so cute getting in a 4wd! LOL)

The Bumper is a nonissue as I am building a winch bumper for it but I dont think mines bumber goes back as far as your model does?? AnywayI can shim it out until I get the new one built.

I have 4.10 gears so my cruising RPM will still be a little high with 33's but much better than now with stock tires! My engine is like "Dang Bro, Give me a break!)

I think 4" and 33's will be the way to go!

What width rimsare you running?

I had a set of 33" Cooper Discoveries on my '90 Bronco, Totally stock lift, no rubbing except for at full steering lock. They filled the wheelwells perfectly. 36's you would definately want a 6 inch lift. My Bronco has 33" BFG Mud Terrains and in my opinion they are a bit small with my 3 inch body lift. I had no rubbing issues with the bumper with the '89 style front end, now I have the 92-96 front end and it does rub a bit.

Yeh, I will probably go with 33's and a 4 " suspension lift for now. Can always swap up later I guess....I had a 85 F150 with 6" lift and QR78 (35or 36" I guess) Buckshots Radials and it was just a little high IMO....but then again if spending the money....Higher is better I guess??? Its only money!

I have 15x10 wheels and 33x12.5 bfg muds and they are fine at full suspension compress and what not, just rub the radius arms at full steering lock. I don't see why I couldnt fit 35s with a 3 inch body lift and fender hack job.

im running a 4in pro comp lift on 35s and i regret not doing a six and i wouldnt go much bigger than 35s on the ttb but i no a lot of guys do, but in the end, the best way to decide is to find a bronco with somthin your looking for and see it in person. >

Yes, the wife will need a step. Mine does, but its great watching them get in with out it..lol

With ur upgraded gears you will have no prob with 33's

I;m running, i believe R15x10 but im not sure, they came with the other truck that i stripped, havent looked into it.

Well what ever you go with best of luck, an make sure you post some before and after pic.

You can fit 38's with a hack job, but not everyone wants to cut.
