HEI Question?

Ok. I took out the EEC-IV. took off the old electronic controled carb and installed a holly and a HEI dizzy all was going well. I installed the wire from the ignition to the HEI Tried to start it and it tried then I lost all power. I went to the fuse box checked all fuses taped on the fuse block and power came on again. I then tried to start it again and I saw a spark by the HEI and again all power is gone nothing. According to the wire diagram I used the brown and pink wire to run to the HEI. I am still trying to figure out why I have no power is there any main fuse box? (besides the one under the drivers side)

Well it was a couple of things first the new hei sparked on a EEC sensor. removed the sensor and pluged it. I still had no power. I then broke out the test light after reviewing the wiring diagrams. well after starting at the fuse block and the ignition I found my self up to the starter relay. I still had no power so out of coursity I hooked the test light to the negative battery post and touched the positve post just to make sure the light was working. it was so I checked the the starter relay again touching each post on the relay, when I touched the one that the positve battery cable hooked up to I still did not get a light. so I touched it to the battery terminal and hey guess what. no power. I removed the cable cleaned the battery post and terminal and hey I had power. Lessoned learned.

Don't you just love it when the problem is easy and cheap (free) to fix? How are you liking your new setup? Had a chance to drive it around yet?

it does run allot better. I just got it all back together last night I still need to pick up some little stuff. I posted some new pic in my photo album.
