Well I went to replace my headlight switch for at least the second time (marker lights wont show up/dash illumination). I get it in and no difference....When I played with the old one i could get the markers to come on without headlights so thats what made me decide thats what the problem was. I know the lights get power because when i arm my alarm they all flash still but I now im back to be frustrated. (also checked all fuses and they were good)

Pull the connector off and check the little contacts in side it. Make sure that no wires have been pushed/pulled too far out the back side of the plug. The reason I suspect that is becuase you said that you could get the lights to come on playing with the switch. I had a similar problem with the factory side of my stereo connector.
