Ok...

My stock 69's headlights, after 10 to 15 minutes of being on start the off/on "shuffle dance." I've replaced the high beam switch, headlight switch, and voltage regulator over the past month. For a time it all seemed to work! I even made a couple long trips to the Sierras with the headlights on the entire way! (more than 3 hours at a time) Now, after a few weeks of being parked I'm back to the same old game! Any one have this same problem with their Broncos?

I've looked at the "new headlight harness and replay kit" sold at most EB Parts houses, but I'm not sure if that will fit my issue.

*One note: My 69 EB's wiring has never been molested. Aside from being old.*

Ideas? Hints?

Thanks!

Eventually, they will all do that when higher wattage headlights are used. The flashing is a overload circut built into the headlight switch. I built my own, but only saved about $15. Look here... http://www.ford-trucks.com/article/idx/0/0...er_Brights.html and here... http://fordfuelinjection.com/index.php?p=66

Why don't you do a healight wire upgrade. It will take the load off the old circuit, feed the headlights direct from the battery and make those yellow Pi--holes in the snow look like a supernova. You can get the parts from Fireguy50 over at FSB http://fordfuelinjection.com/?p=66.

Good luck,

Sounds like a plan and the price isn't too bad either! Thanks for the advice!

Thanks.

I had lots of problems with the flashing lights with my 74, even got a ticket for it <_< .... so, because of my lack of wiring knowledge to do my own headlight relays and what not I just bought a headlight harness from LMC Truck for about $40 shipped and I've yet to have the flashing syndrome again....
