I know the frame for a short bed, regular cab pick-up is longer than that of the Bronco, so I doubt you could use the existing body mounts as is. You can always re-locate them and shorten the frame, or extend the body! I'm toying with the idea of a 2-door Excursion body on a Bronco chassis. Just haven't found the donor-yet!!!

Like Just stated. A bronco is about 6" shorter then a reg. cab shortbed truck. You can shorten the frame of the F350 and relocate the cab and bed body mounts to work. the coresupport mounts will be the same. It can be done with some fabbing.

If you get a 1ton donor truck, why not build the suspension how you want, rather than dealing with the harsh ride the 1ton's suspension will give? It'll take a little more effort, but the 1/2ton's coil suspension can be used with the D60 axles to give you the stock ride, and the strong axles

Another question is, do you really NEED the 1ton axles? Sure, there's a cool factor to is, but if your use, or offroading, isn't such that it demands a stronger axle, then you can get away with this project cheaper, by picking up yourself a 1/2ton solid axle donor.

I'd almost need a 1ton donor, but they're not exactly given away [-o<

When I was in High School in Auto Mech., one of my friends swapped a diesel from a Massey Ferguson combine into his F-250 for truck pulls. Anything is possible, just depends on the junk you have sitting in the yard!!!
