i think it may be the fuel pump...that or the fuel filter...but i ran it dry the other day...turns out the gas gauge went on it...i dumped in 5 gallons, turned it over a bunch, and still nothing. i spray ether in the TB it will fire. but only til out of the ether. the fuel rail has nothing. no pressure what so ever. so before i go replacing shit that don't need to be. i'd like some suggestions. if the fuel pump, how hard would it be. i don't hear anyhting when i turn on the power, so i think thats what it may be. now to add on to this problem. it got like this while trail riding on the way back i threw in more gas to make it. ran out while washing it off in a river. yes a river. the military police don't like mud. thats why. that and its illegal on Ft. Sill anyways. but they can't make it to where me and my buddies go. anyways. i was sitting in the river watching it get all cleaned off. when suddenly she died on me. no biggy. normally. well. i have nearly no exhaust, and only one Cat. the water was sucked right up the exhaust. got it towed back to my barracks and started working with it. next day, couple cranks and she started right up. lots of water poured out onto the ground. lots. i know i need to change the oil. and all that good stuff. been there done that. but the next day as i was about to take it to the shop to change the oil and etc. she wouldn't start. not one bit. we knocked on the tank to check for gas. thats when i realized the gauge is broke. nearly bone dry. hardly a splash. tossed in another 5 gallons today. and nothing. do i just need to charge the battery enough to keep turning it over or what. remember i don't hear the fuel pump engaging.
