fuel presure

hellow every one i just joined the form and im kinda new to the car world i work on motorcycles and lawn mowers for a living and i can work on cars some what but im relly god with motors and i have a question me and my dad bult up his 89 full size branco and we put a 347 stroker kit in it and put a comp cams camshaft and mad it a roller motor and he went ahead and put 25pis fuel injectors in it for some reason and we have a bbk fuel regulator and a msd ignition box and recentally i changed the injectors to 20pis i think they were cause the fuel presure was set as low as it could go and it was still running rich and so i put them in a while ago and then it started to act like it bunt a valve in it so i had no time to mess with it cause of skool and work so i took it up the street from my house and there is a mobil shop that my dads frend worked at he tested it out anc could not figure it out and he ran a scanner on it it came up as the egr valve all the time and i just put a new one on there befor i took it up there and he put plugs in it and messed with the timing and it sat for a year and today i finally got time to mess with it cause i got layed off one job and i did a compression check on it and i got good readings on all cyclinders and 150psi-165psi and its now loading up i got my fuel gague in today from summit and does anyone no the settigns it shoud be on so i dont half to play with it for a whie doing the old testing by t he exhust. has anyone ever had the prolbum withh the egr valve befor? thanks for your time to look this over. kyle

hey every one i think i got it today figured out i put the old fuel regulator on it and i got a new egr valve cause the scanner keep saying it was bad aong with the perge canasyer and i looked all over the book and the canster perge valve is for a carbrated motor i had one in the thing sitting caue the place i took it to sayed it was bad and to shut them up i got one and well it dont go on here so im stuck wiht it now o well and i put the new egr valve on it it still ran like crap i rember when we built the motor we had misslaced the egr valve and went and got a new one well i found the old one right after i bought the new one and i put the old one back on it it runs like new now what could cause that to happen are the old egr valves better then the new one???????? maby they are making them cheaper and they are worth anything idk but now it to a exhust system for the beast and get it tuned up and inspected ill get picks up soon

You probably got a bad one off the shelf. That happens more than it should now days especially at the chain auto parts places. You always have the option of taking back something that doesn't work or you don't need. Don't let them BS you.

i took the new egr valve and sayed it was bad and they gave me a new one i use borgwarner parts on my branco and i have had the perge canster avalve for abour a year it was sitting in my truck in the glove box and i dont have the recet for it but ill run across useing it maby when i get money on to start workng on my ranger cause im putting a 302 in it for a drag/ messaround truck
