I just picked up my new toy. A 95 Bronco, thats in great shape and its all stock. I have driven diesel trucks all my life and i'm not sure what to do to my Bronco for exhaust. I want it to be loud, one guy wants me to do straights with no cats. Is that possible with the computers these days? Another guy told me to get glass packs, any disadvantages to using them? Any suggestions would be helpful since i am kind of new to the whole gas truck deal.

Welcome to Bronco Zone!!! There are several topics on exhaust set-ups in the forums, try a search. I would suggest keeping the cats, and running a Flowmaster or Magnaflow muffler with a single exit behind the right rear wheel. You can't really run true duals due to the t-case interfering. And if you do run one or two pipes straight out the back under the bumper, you will get alot of exhaust fumes inside the cab of the Bronco. JSM84

Like Justshootme mentioned about the exhaust smell I ran single in dual outs straight to the rear bumper and going to rework them to just past the rear tires Keep the MUD over the rear bumper and the exhaust smell will go away ****

what i did was have the exhaust shop bend up a new y pipe to get rid of the stock cats and move things up a bit closer to the body/ frame. went with a high flow cat and a flowmaster delta 40. three inch all the way back to behind the rear whell exit as lose to the body as i my exhaust guy would go. i like the sound, you can hear it inside the cab a bit but not so bad you tan't talk to the people inside. if you want loud go for the 30s in flowmaster, i have never cut one open, but i'd swear it's all most a strait through! you should have two o2 sensors on your bronco, one before the cat to tell the comp what to do with fuel, and one after the cat to tell the comp if there is something wrong with the cat, and to turn the mil light on the dash on. hope this helps!

Good point. I don't believe there is any pre-made system for the Bronco, so you'll have to go to a muffler shop and have them make your pipes, or piece together your own. You can replace the two stock cats with a single, aftermarket one, but should keep the O2 sensors on the Computer-controlled motors.

cherrybomb has a new muffler out that sounds good and is loud(yes, i want one). it's not a glaspack, looks kinda like a flowmaster single chamber, and you can get them in a single inlet/dual outlet configuration. they are around $50.

There are 3 total, one on each header and one after the cat. When you are removing your exhaust for work make sure to treat them with care because they are very fragile (I don't know why but they seem to break easy).

Personally, I like to go big.

3" duals with 2 5 by 8 Flowmasters diamond plate covered and 4" tips. Go out behind the rears, not the bumper, the fumes will roll up into the rear window. :-&

This can also up you HP :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Hope this helps.

I'd start by finding a GOOD exhaust shop that stands behind their work. I've broken a few & made the mistake of going for a cheaper option not once but twice (idiot)

A good shop will KNOW what they need to to do to pass smog & keep the sensors in place.

I current have the short Edelbrock headers with a custom y pipe with the sensors into a high flow cat into a short Flowmaster muffler with the tail pipe coming out in front of the rear wheel.

Sounds like a Nextel Cup car & is rock solid I don't think I can do anything stupid enough to break this system off.
